Going to church is a long process for us but it is well worth it! We wake up around 5:30 am and leave the school by six to bike the 25 minute ride to the train station. The train ride is about 40 minutes and then we arrive to the branch building by taxi at eight o'clock, an hour before church starts and this is usually when we eat breakfast. After church we have about two hours until the train comes so Sundays are long, but the rejuvenation that we receive from going to church makes our nine our long day worth it! The train costs nine baht (29 cents), is without air conditioning and sometimes there is standing room only but it has really become a peaceful time for me to reflect. The views of the country side are spectacular and being surrounded by such humble and loving people each Sunday morning really softens my heart for the rest of the day.

Small market outside the station
The king and queen
Shrine right outside the station
I took this one night at the station when we were leaving for
Chiang Mai. All of those little dots are lizards!

On the train, like I said... standing room only some Sundays
Sometimes we sit on the steps in front of the doors

Men here just show their stomachs... ALL the time. It is something I am still not used to.
Cranes are everywhere out in the country
The train ride really is beautiful!
